DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced legal assistant who can help the busy attorneys and paralegals at our law office assist our clients.
You'll be responsible for managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings and travel, and ensuring our legal team is aware of upcoming deadlines.
You'll also assist with preparing legal documents and contracts, and perform any other tasks as needed to ensure our firm is operating efficiently.
If you work well in a fast-paced environment and consistently deliver a high-quality work product, reach out to us today!ResponsibilitiesoConduct legal research, when necessary, with guidance from attorneys and paralegalsoBe willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothlyoMake travel arrangements, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for eventsoHandle office correspondence and administrative tasks such as responding to emails and phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and letting the team know about upcoming deadlinesQualificationsoExperience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programsoAssociate's degree, or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is necessaryoCandidates should have strong organizational skills and communication skillsoMust be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environmentoAt least 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks Recommended Skills Case Management Communication Coordinating Laws Lawsuits Requirement Prioritization Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
